I bought this at an auction maybe 7 or 8 years ago, didn't need it but too good to pass up. We've never seen a cabinet quite like this but we think it's the original cabinet that was made for this machine which is a Singer 778 Touch N Sew if I remember correctly. The machine is boxed up in storage b/c we used the cabinet for a TV stand for a few years by putting cardboard and a large piece of styrofoam sheeting across the top with a fabric runner that matched my decor and stored board games, etc underneath. Joe's on nights this week so is sleeping and I forgot to ask him before he went to bed.It might be for a different machine but I think it's the cabinet for the 778.
I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it? When the machine is in the cabinet for use and you need to access the free arm, all you do is release a catch on the left side of the cabinet and the top slides over to the left and drops down so you can use the free arm. It's quite interesting. The cabinet itself is quite large so it's in storage now also until I get a house with my own sewing room. We moved quite a bit of stuff to clear out the garage for Joe's new toy so I took some pics before we loaded it in the truck.
