I don't think your dress looks weird hanging there. Bet it will look great on. You do plan on modeling it for us when you are all finished, don't you? oxo

I love the dress!
I am glad I don't need my MOG dress for almost 2 years! I hope to lose 50 lbs. by then. With what I have seen her mother wearing (think Bohemien/hippy style) I am not sure what type of dress I will get. DH does not want to rent a tux (she said her Dad isn't either) but since he has lost so much weight since he started going to the DR. I am sure his suit won't fit so it will either be a rental or a new suit!

Lennie, is it getting much warmer there today? A friend of mine is in Oceanside with her DH for a few days, then on to LA and San Diego. She posted on FB this morning that she's going to have to go buy some warmer clothes if it doesn't warm up.

Oceanside is about an hour and 10 min. due west from where I live and I go through there every time I go see my Mom. It's the furthest north city in San Diego County. From there you go north through Pendleton Marine Base and on into Orange County and then to L.A.

We're heating up but it's supposed to cool off again to around 70 in the next couple of days and it could be in the 60's at the coast. (Is she going to the San Diego County Fair, btw? It's in Del Mar right on the ocean about 20 minutes south of Oceanside. For people that like that kind of thing it's a must-see and it's in full swing.) Out here on the coast May and June are pretty ugly. It's known as May Gray and June Gloom because we get the "onshore flow" which means it's cloudy, cloudy, cloudy and cool till around noon or so when the sun comes out. I always suggest tourists wait till the second week in July if they want a Calif. summer. We don't get those clouds because we're too far inland which means our summers can last 5-6 months up here.

I don't know if she knows about the San Diego County Fair. They are there for a seminar for her DH's job, and decided to make a vacation of it. She packed summer clothes. :anxious:
