Optical Illusion ?

Talk about optical illusions? Look at this fall attic windows wall hanging.. Is it not beautiful. The notes say it is accomplished with the sashing of each individual block.. I personally think part of it is also the brighter part is at the bottom of the pane and the darker on the side, with the darkest as the sashing (black). This is my HO. I am only a beginner in anything quilting..It is beautiful and I wanted you all to see it.

Really neat, Libby. I think the bright small inner border helps to give it depth as well. I used to have a FQ with a bird scene that might work for something like this. Hmmm....guess I'm adding something else to my list of projects I want to try.

That is very cool. I did one like that but didn't put the sashing in which really makes quite a bit of difference. It's amazing what you can do with color isn't it?

I really don't like the "picture" fabric they used - it looks a mess to me, but the window bit works well.
