This is what I would have suggested. It's professional and looks modern. It also seems like it's a fairly simple design. Hmmm...Maybe I need to make a jacket for myself...

I happened to find myself at Hancock Fabrics this morning, and all the big 4 patterns were on sale. I looked for McCall's 6655, but the pattern numbers in the file did not go up that high and it also wasn't in the book. I think it is probably new. My guess is they will put the new patterns out once the sale is over, as that's usually how it goes.

I paged through the catalogs, and there really is a dearth of suit jacket patterns. There are a few, more of the frilly flouncy Easter suit type. I guess people just aren't sewing suits much these days. I did pick up a couple of Burda patterns, although they weren't on sale -- Burda 7284 and Burda 7286. So I guess I have a few options.

Both of those look good, Kaitlin. Just what you seemed to want.

Oh Kaitlinn, I was in Hancocks yesterday and I actually went there to stock up on Maxi Lock for my serger, but I checked the McCalls drawer and I found the 6655 pattern so I had to get it while it was only 99 cents.. I really like the looks of it. I am so sorry your store did not have it. I will loan you mine if you like. you can PM me if you want me to send it to you..

If you're able to get it, would you send me one too? I will reimburse you for the pattern & postage. It's still on sale today for 99 cents. McCall's #6655.

Thanks for the offer Libby--you are so sweet! I think I am currently overwhelmed by the options I already have, but I'll keep your offer in mind. :D

Looks like JoAnns is having McCalls patterns on sale this Thursday-Saturday. I'm not sure if you've found another pattern or if that works with your timeline, but if not, that's another option. That's how I'm planning on getting mine, anyway. :)
