October quilting

So, even though I said I wasn't going to make Christmas gifts this year (hide my head in shame)Ithink I may make up some winter door hangings for the girls. I had so much fun making the witch and halloween ones and they were so quick to do, and two of the girls decorate their houses each season, so I know they'd definitely use them. I have to get working on the t-shirt quilts on my days off, they are nagging me, all that fabric laying under my ironing boards.

Started cutting the tshirts and fusing on the interfacing. Man does that take a long time, and I used up all the interfacing I bought specifically for the quilts plus all that I had in my sewing stash. Will have to watch for another sale and replenish. I hate to think how many yards I used!

First quilt top done. The 2nd one will wait until after I get my garment sewing done.

Today I'm working on putting a baby quilt top together. I had some 10.5" squares of bears in the woods so last week made up some bear blocks to put with them. Took some time to decide on the sashings and border fabrics...but today I finally decided. So now I'm sewing it up. Will post of pic of the top when it is a flimsy.

Here's a quick pic of the tshirt quilt for DS's girlfriend. Her sisters will have green tshirts in place of the turquoise and have green sashing. They are quite masculine looking being that they are all a polo style shirt, but I hope that i can find something for the back that will compliment it, and reflect the girls a bit more.

Oh shoot the picture is upside down, not that it matters for the quilt!
