Some sciency ones..

New postby Magot on Thu Sep 13, 2012 12:23 pm

What do you call a tooth in a glass of water?
A one molar solution.

What do you call two dinosaurs that have been in an accident?
Tyrannosaurus wrecks

What is the chemist's motto?
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate!

Someone threw sodium chloride at me. I shouted "Hey, that's a salt!"

Thanks Jan! We have a science teacher at our school who has a warped sense of humor - I'm going to email these to him! ;)

A molar is a unit of mass, scientifically it is the mass of a given substance (chemical) divided by the amount of the substance. It's a chemistry scientific geeky thing!!! LOL.

Thanks, Laura. Never in a million years would I have known that. Never made it to chemistry. I liked the other types of science though.

A few of my favorites:

Cryogenics: Did you hear about the cryogenicist who wanted his windows cleaned? He had Bose-Einstein condensation.

Physics: Did you hear about the French postdoc who went to work at Fermilab, but never went in because the sign over the door always said it was closed? (OK, OK, that one was more of a French joke than a physics joke! I'll make it up to you with two more!)

A physicist walks into Stephen Hawking's room and says, "There's a meson your wall."

What did the proton in the bubble chamber say to the kaon? "I hope you're just passing through, stranger."

Astronomy: Astronomers do it charging, coupling, and devising.

Chemistry: Have you heard about the new oral contraceptive--hexanitrosobenzene? (Also sometimes I've heard: What is the most chaste organic compound? Why, hexanitrosobenzene of course!)

~ Miss Fleecy :geek:

PS. I just realized some of you may not be familiar with IUPAC chemical nomenclature! Hexanitrosobenzene of course has NO in all six positions!
