Job timer/clock

New postby Pudge99 on Tue Aug 14, 2012 3:18 pm

Sometime ago, somewhere on this site, someone said something about a job timer/clock that they kept by their machine. It was designed so that you could just hit a button when you step away and hit it again when you come back. It keeps a running tally of the hours spent on a job/project. Does anyone remember or know what I am talking about. I would love to have one but don't know what to call it for a google search.

Gina, that might have been me. When I need to know how much time I spend on something I just keep my kitchen timer around. It's got a "count-up" feature that I can stop and start. It's also got a cord so I can wear the oblong thing around my neck. I've had it at least 15 years and got it at a kitchen supply store in a mall. I just looked and it has no brand on it anymore. I suspect it was on the plastic that goes across the face of it that's no longer there.

I searched Amazon for "count up timer" and got a few hits. This West End Digital Timer seems affordable and reliable.

My phone is just a phone. It flips open and has buttons so I can call people. I did see a lot of apps for that when doing my Google searches.

I think I found something on my computer that might do the job. I'm gonna try it out later today.

It's all I've got. I can text and take a picture too. Hey, it was $20.00 with a $20.00 instant rebate! :D

Mine takes pictures too(mostly of the inside of my pocket) and probably could text but I am too cheap to pay for a data/text plan so any pictures I take with it stay on the phone and I never text.

You are all ahead of me.. I still do NOT have a cell phone at all. If I do get one , it will be a jitterbug, that only does phone calls and nothing else.. I tell people I am one of 3 people left on earth that do not have a cell phone. LOL

Libby, my DH is one of those 3 people. ;) He used to have one but HATED it. If he goes on a trip for work, he takes my phone. Mine is still pay-as-you-go, but I did update to a blackberry type phone because my kids text me more than they call me. :anxious: Now I can text back faster. Mine is only $30 a month.
Gina, my DS has unlimited everything and it's only $45 a month.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.
