Halloween Scavenger Hunt

New postby Bama on Tue Aug 14, 2012 11:37 am

Before committing to this swap, please carefully consider if you will be able to fulfill the swap. If you do need to drop out of the swap or will be late, please contact me immediately.

Swappers so far.....
Laura, Barb, Libby, Lennie, Carman, Lori

Sign ups allowed until end of August. We will begin mailing packages Oct 1st. with a deadline of Oct 15th. That way everyone will receive their package in time to enjoy it before Halloween.
Swappers please send me a private message with your full name and mailing address. I will draw names to assign who you will mail to when the sign up date closes the end of August. Also include in your message what type of sewing you enjoy most, or if you do other needle work so I can pass on that information. It might make it easier when picking out some of the items for you.

The theme is Halloween. We will "hunt" for 9 items, each beginning with one letter in the word Halloween. Think Halloween/Fall for the items you choose. Also try to keep most items sewing related, but it's okay to throw in something just for fun. :D Include at least one handmade item and at least one item that is orange. You can get creative with the use of each letter. For example, you could be describing the print on a fabric.
Please keep cost around $15-$20, not including postage.

Ladies, please let me know if I've left out anyone or anything.

Everyone check your messages. I had DD draw names for us. Let me know if anyone has any questions you need asked to help with your hunt, and I'll try to find out for you so they won't know who got their name. I couldn't find a way around not knowing who got my name, but that's okay with me. :D

Happy Hunting!

Okay, got mine! (I need a little emoticon with hands rubbing together........... ;) ) I'll tell you all what I've done. Might be helpful.

I went to my WORD program and started a list, well three actually. The first has my partner's name and everything that I can think of about her, checking profile, etc. I might go through posts of hers just to gather more info.

The second list has the ideas that I've already thought of. Had to remove some of those since they weren't relevant to my partner. ;)

The third list is of Halloween words. There are various lists online.

At the top of my page I put down the guidelines so I could refer to those as needed.

Well, now..............Let the fun begin! Thanks, Lori! :celebrate:
