Moose as model.

My moose has graciously agreed to model my latest knitting project. It was fun to do and I love the pattern. Not hard at all and so pretty. I've made this one for my new great-niece born last January. I'll be making a second for my hairdresser. Her daughter just had a baby. It'll be a beautiful dark purple.

This top is so versatile. It can be worn as a dress or top and with or without a shirt underneath. The straps are just tied at the top.

That is sooo cute! I was a little worried about the moose model, I was envisioning a really big 4 legged real animal that you had adopted cause it found its way into your yard and you just couldn't send it away. Then you were worried it may be cold, so you made it something to wear (well, not really, but since you are such a crazy animal person, you never know!!!)

Thanks, everyone. Hopefully I'll get the other yarn and start on the purple one today. I sit on my porch after dinner lately and knit for an hour or so. Very nice.

Jan, how do you think little mooses get into the world anyway?? I admit I haven't kept a close eye on her lately. She seems to like her maternity dress. :D

Laura, if a moose appeared in my yard and was cold I'd be happy to make it a wardrobe but we don't have moose here. Not a one. Guess I could send a moose wardrobe to my brother in law. He lives in Alaska.

Pretty! Wonderful job Lennie. :applause:
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't mind yarn on my lap in August. ;)

This never quite reached my lap. It's for a 1 y/o and I knit with the right needle in my right armpit. It's more like a blanket for my boobs! :D

Also, the yoke of this dress/top was supposed to be knit in garter. Not a bit fan. I like stockinette so much better. The pattern is called "feathers and fans". I guess I see that.

Tracking my next yarn delivery it says the package left San Diego via Fed Ex at 3 this morning so it sounds like I'll be able to continue with the next one by this evening. Yay!
