Paper Piecing

New postby bridesmom on Thu Aug 09, 2012 11:46 pm

Had a presentation at guild tonight by Sonja from http://artisania.wordpress.com/ She does some of the most adorable paper piecing patterns! I am loving her halloween ones, she showed us the whole quilt which is amazing! I signed up for a class she is giving in September and am so excited as I have tried paper piecing and it just doesn't compute. I love her little peeping animals!

Wish I could go with you, Laura. What a creative lady! I'm impressed. From the little paper piecing I've done I really, really like it. I didn't see any of what you mentioned on her site though. It was all about sushi beautiful as it was.

Thanks, Carmen, didn't look that far. I've seen those designs before and attempted the Halloween kitty but it was a bit advanced for me while initially exploring p.p. I do like it though and will definitely do more of it.

My thoughts too!! She has an adorable animal halloween wallhanging that is going to be featured in the Quiltmaker magazine fall issue. It's called ' did someone say 'treat'?' and it's a cat dog and bunny in costume all perked up. I am impatiently waiting for the magazine to come out so I can get it! I want to do it for DD for Halloween.

Laura...I got my issue in the mail last week and thought it was really cute. So yours should be on the way.

BTW, this magazine has a great tutorial on PP and some neat PP quilt patterns. (No No...I'm not going to even look at them... ;) ;) )
