Crop sweater

New postby bridesmom on Tue Jul 31, 2012 8:14 pm

This was started on last Sunday, and I finished it tonight. It's knit from the top down and this is my 3rd sweater from this pattern. This is for the 6 yr old DGD who is coming to visit on the weekend. Purple is not her absolute favorite color any more but I bought it specifically for this last year when she was still into purple. i'm sure she will still like it.

How do you do everything so fast???!!! :o Flying fingers! Cute and I'm sure she'll love it. I'll be done with a knitting project this week I suppose. Simple lace pattern but it's so pretty!

Oh my Gosh! Callie tried on the sweater tonight, she was so excited with it, and it just fits her, the sleeves are almost too short.... I made a size 6-7, what happened to my little granddaughter!!! All those pj pants i made just barely fit her too! Hokey, has she ever grown over the summer. We are going to measure her tomorrow so I have new measurements. I'm still in shock that the sweater is that small on her. I even made them 1 1/2 inches longer than the pattern called for. Well, she may wear it a few times and that will be it. After the fall I'm sure it will be too small.
