Here we are. It's the 26th of July:

108. Piloted an airplane
119. Had major surgery
144. Sold something you’ve created to someone who didn't know you
90. Bought a house
58. Sung karaoke

Hmmm, the first. I didn't exactly pilot it but I did hold the wheel and "steer" the plane. A guy that liked me and was trying really hard asked me to go with him. He piloted a small plane and did bank runs into San Francisco. We left in the evening taking off from a small airport. We spent the rest of the evening in S.F. eating near the airport and then flying back in the wee hours. I never cared for him all that much but boy, that was probably the coolest date I've ever been on.

Sinus surgery is about as major as it's gotten, luckily.
Yep on selling.
Yep on buying a house.
Nope on the karaoke much to the relief of others, I'm sure.

Here we are on the opening day of the Summer Olympiad (hey, Jan!), July 27th;

109. Petted a stingray
31. Screamed as loudly as you possibly can
86. Recorded music
75. Gotten divorced
70. Taken a martial arts class

Yes to the first at three different aquariums, maybe four. We've been to some gorgeous ones in Monterey, Ca., Alaska, San Diego and Baltimore. I love aquariums.
Never screamed. Not a screamer. Hurts my throat.
No to the music.
Yes, once, to divorce. A very good thing. :roll:
And yes to the last if you count Tai Chi.

Yes to petting stingray ~ Hey Lennie, maybe we petted the same one in Baltimore!
Yes to screaming as loud as I could ~ on the roller coaster in HersheyPark in June! and will probably do it again in August!!!

I can't wait to watch the opening ceremonies from London. I love watching the Olympics, both summer and winter. It will be interesting to watch men's swimming with the US rivalry or Duel in the Pool.

USA! USA!

I have screamed - but not on my list, I have recorded music, backing vocals - I go oohs ahhhs very effectively!
I also have an orange belt in Judo. Not very impressive I assure you! So that takes me to 21
I really think you should root for the host nation in the Olympics you know. For a small country we do well in the medal stakes! Go team GB! (I got to hold the torch last week, it's really heavy!)

The words for the 28th of July;

105. Wrote articles for a large publication
32. Held a lamb
69. Toured ancient sites
79. Ridden a gondola in Venice
89. Gone to Thailand

Toured ancient sites. Hmm, now that's a relative term to me. I've been into caves with cave paintings. Those are just a 20 minutes drive from here. I've been in cathedrals that were 1000 and 1500 years old in Belgium. Haven't been to any of the truly ancient sites though. You all must laugh because if something is 200 years old in California it's "ancient". We just don't go back that far except for our Native American and Mexican origins. There are missions all over going back to the late 1700's. You know all the towns and cities that begin with San (Diego) and Santa (Barbara) for instance? San is saint (male) and santa is saint (female). Those were all named by the Catholic Padres way back when while they were trying to civilize and convert the Native American populations.

:think: Does that make Santa Claus a girl??? ;) :D
