The jars are filled with water beads awaiting the flowers for the reception. I baked another batch of 'wedding cake' cut-out cookies then remembered I had made candy that was stored at my sister's house so DD wouldn't see it. One less cookie in the bag but will add 2 pieces of candy in its place! My dress wasn't delivered yesterday but will be this evening. The lady doing my alterations has her DS, DDIL & DGS visiting from Japan! I don't want to do anything to interfere with their visit as this is the first time they've seen the 13.5 month old DGS.

I typed the second page of the program for the wedding and made sure I checked with future MIL to get the correct spelling of everyone's names. DD & future DSIL meet with the pastor Wednesday night so I should have the order of the ceremony and be able to type it on Thursday. I just need them to decided on a cover and check with my friend the printer to make sure he can do this for me. I think I'll arange the flowers for the parents' tables tonight and just slip a large plastic bag over them to keep the dust away. I need to sort all the things in the storage bin into 'wedding' and 'reception' items and find containers to keep them separated for transportation to the correct sites.

Oh just when I think I'm getting ahead, I come up with something else that needs to be done! I know it will all work out and be a wonderful day, I just don't do well with deadlines and pressure to make sure everything is perfect! Calming thoughts from all would be very much appreciated.

MQ I am praying for peace of mind for you. It sounds to me like you have taken a lot on your shoulders and that you are very organized and capable. I'm sure you have plan b and have an emergency kit of sorts on hand. Pause ever so often and have a deep sigh to regroup.

Working 2 jobs sure does put a dent in my free time! When I'm not driving kids, working, grocery shopping, and doing laundry, I'm usually just being a bum plopped in front of the idiot box watching some old tv show from the 70's. I get a break next week, as dd will be finished with track camp, and ds will be out of town, so I won't be on the road very much. Hopefully I will be motivated to sew!

Ok, it's Wednesday....On Monday we went to the beach and relaxed a bit. Tuesday we picked up THE GOWN and my dress was delivered. Tuesday evening we went to the church to look around and found that we're going to have a good bit of rearranging to do at the front of the church. This morning I got the silk flowers ready for the reception centerpieces, DD painted the picture frames that will be part of the bridesmaids gift and I put the things inside the purses that I made for them (tissues, oil blotting papers, wet wipe packs, etc.). As soon as DD showers, we're going to the dollar store for gift bags so we can be finished with the gifts! WHEW!!! This afternoon it's play time for mom & DD's hair which should be interesting.

Things are falling into place and I feel like we're accomplishing things on schedule. Now if the weather would just cooperate to get these cookies baked. I don't want to turn on the oven when the weather is predicted to be 100F today.

Theresa, Don't feel bad about resting in your off time. I have worked 2 jobs before. Its was very tireing and I felt I met myself comming and going.

Take some time for yourself & regroup, Theresa and Sewingmom. Remember, there is a master plan for your life and whichever path you take, God is always with you. I have found this to be true. Today, I'm cleaning the kitchen, washing down the cabinets to cut the grease, caring for my neighbor's 2 dogs (not sure how that will be) and then I'm going to embroider some jean pockets. One with a rooster & one with a pig for a friend of mine. Catch y'all later.

Pam, you've so totally got things under control! Do you keep lists? That's the only way I can get things done. I start to feel overwhelmed quite easily sometimes without them. Good luck and I'm sure things will continue to go great and if there's a snag (there's bound to be) you'll just deal with that too!

Marty, nothing wrong with a rooster but I sure hope the pig embroidery doesn't go on the jean's pocket of someone who's even a tiny bit overweight. That could be bad......

Wow, you ladies are busy!! Am relaxing and enjoying it very much! Trying to teach myself crocheting with some old yarn I brought, today is cool so we may just hang around and watch the boob tube all day. Heading towards home Saturday
