Horse Quilt

New postby bridesmom on Wed Apr 25, 2012 6:38 pm

This is a wonky mosaic center, with the horse border around it. I did a great sunburst pattern on the horse border but you can't see it!!!! Even when I look at it in person I can barely see the design which kind of sucks cause it took me 2 days to do it! This is for 9yr old DGD.

Love the quilt Laura. I know what you mean about not seeing the quilting. I used to love busy prints in the beginning so that it would hide my quilting mistakes. Now I usually want it to show so need to use plainer fabrics.

I really like the "earthy-ness" of this quilt. It's southwestern looking. I'm sure she'll love it.

Thanks, I have to admit, these tops have been done for a while, I was just waiting for batting, then once they were sandwiched I started quilting. Two more to go to finish off, then I will start on a bunch of lapquilts for a seniors home. Plus I have fabric to make 4 tops for me for summer, so need to get at those. And back to the scrapbooking sometime soon.
