April's Personal Appearance

As most of you know, we have a brand new Joann's store. First one here. I was in there yesterday and they had a large poster advertising the fact that April from Project Runway would be here in their store on Saturday, March 24th to introduce a new line of fabric she had designed. I think I will try to go see her, just for kicks. I sure like the way they honor all competitors coupons.

Last time I was on the JoAnn's site I noticed them pushing her line of fabrics. I bought a yard of one and was surprised at how thick and heavy the stretch cotton was. Love the print but it seems too heavy for a top and I don't know what else to do with it. I'm not into mini skirts anymore or it'd make a cute one. I've got one yard and it's 60" wide.

Oh, by all means go and see her. I think it'd be fun. She seems likable. There are plenty from the show I wouldn't cross the street to see.

I think Mondo is going to win it. I'm hoping he does.

Jan, I agree but with my figure and legs it would not be flattering. I agree, it would be very cute as a skirt but even dd (who has the figure for it) wouldn't have any place to wear it. We live in the mountains, remember? Tres casual.

Never heard of "April" who is she? Jo-Ann Fabrics here is across the county & almost an hour's drive each way. I have to really, really want something to make the drive. I love their fabrics but I need to use what I have right now.

April's been a contestant on Project Runway. She's quite likable and did quite well. I go to three JoAnn's and they're all over an hour away.

DD and I are going to go check out a Joann's store next week. It's nearly an hour away. I'll have to look for that line of fabric.

Lennie, I am pulling for Mondo also. I kept a list of each week's winner and loser. The final 3 were the only ones to win more than 1 weekly best. Mondo and Michael both had 3 and Austin had 2. None of the rest of the winners had more than 1. The reason I started keeping a record with notes was because that was the only way I could keep them straight. I just made a note of the rules each week and listed 3 best and 3 worst and then the winner and loser. If I picked the same I marked it with a check mark. LOL.

That's a good idea, Libby. I get very confused at the beginning of the shows re: who did what.
