I got bumped.

I've been bumped for my surgery tomorrow. I will say that I'm probably the most bumpable of anyone given that I may have had this condition for the past 20 years!!

Along comes a cancer patient - someone in severe pain, etc. and it's bumpity bump bump, Lennie. They'll reschedule me sometime between April and July. Doesn't really matter but I would have just as soon gotten it over with. The girl was real nice and said she was going nuts re-scheduling so many people but didn't know why the rescheduling needed to happen. She thanked me profusely for being so nice about it and then I realized there could be some pretty angry folks who had to take time off from work, had been planning on it for weeks, etc. Now at least I don't have to worry about not sleeping well tonight.

Here I thought you got rear-ended!!! I'm sorry you got bumped, and I'm glad you didn't get rear ended. My sweet babboo (and I use that term very loosely) backed into a big black truck with my nice white Subaru on Sunday, it's a $600 fix to the back end drivers side, and that's the discounted price from a good friend. I was a lady and did not say what I would have loved to say, but I did nicely say, you mean you didn't notice the BIG BLACK truck behind us???? ARGH!!!

I'm just glad that you are in a situation where you can be bumped rather than like the person with cancer and a lot of pain. You are taking it graciously.

That's gracious of you to say, Dorothy. It's truly no big deal. My life is so very flexible. I'm spoiled and so lucky to be healthy.

Poor Subie, Laura, a distant relative (mine) sends it's sympathy. Ouch! Almost two years old and I still see mine as a brand new car.

I slept like a baby last night, ten hours waking only briefly a couple of times then rolling over and going back to sleep. Doubt I would have done that had I been getting the roto rooter job done today. Oh well, just delaying the inevitable.

heigh ho Lennie, It'll get done .. It is standard in the NHS it feels for non urgent ops to be bumped at least once.

My Betty dog was scheduled for dental surgery and suspicious spot removal for tomorrow. Guess what???!!! SHE got bumped to Friday!!!!

Around here getting bumped means someone took your job & you get moved down. I may have to do that if the school I work in closes. Decision is supposed to be made later this month.
