OK, Bingo Gang, here are today's words:

15.   Clean Grout
23.   Clear Path in Sewing Area
60.   Pay Bills Found Under Junk Mail
95.   Wash Windows
117.  Curling Shoes

Two questions:
1. How do you clean grout?
2. Is this what you think about when you read Curling Shoes?

Congrats JudyMO! I was too slow to check...as I would have won too. But that's OK...there is always next time...LOL.

Now Theresa, you asked the question about how to clean grout. Well let me tell you... A year ago when the plumber came to reseal the bathtub drain when it leaked, he told me that I had better regrout my bathtub wall tiles or I would have a bigger problem. Regrout my tiles!!! He explained how to do it and where to go to get the stuff needed. Basically this is what I did...(http://www.familyhandyman.com/DIY-Projects/Tile/Tile-Repair/how-to-regrout-bathroom-tile-fixing-bathroom-walls/Step-By-Step#step3). But that is only the first step. After you regrout you have to seal (or protect) the grout otherwise the water wears it off over time and you have holes between the tiles like I did. Then you are suposed to reapply the sealant/protector every year. :?

So in early Oct. I needed to reseal the wall tiles. But before I could apply the sealant, I had to "clean the grout" to remove the soap scum and oils etc. I had to buy grout cleaner, which I mixed with water, and applied to the tiles. Then I had to wait 10 minutes and scrub the grout with a brush & rinse well to get all the scum off. And I repeated that cleaning process. After that I had to wait 24 hrs before I could apply the sealant...and I needed to do 2 coats of sealant with waiting 2 hrs in between applying coats. After applying the sealant, I had to wait 48 hrs before getting the tiles wet. So this whole process took me about 5 days before I could have a shower. :(

So now you know more than you ever wanted to know about my "cleaning the grout".
