Bernina 1530 Inspirqation sewing machine

Hello all!

I want to sell a Bernina 1530 Inspiration machine and would like input on a reasonable asking price.

It is in perfect, slightly used, condition and has all of its accessories, bells and whistles. Was my stepmom's, who not only hardly used it but also took very good care of such things. She passed away recently and the funds go to help my Dad. He actually offered it to me but (a) he will need the funds and (b) I have a good machine already.

I've seen a very broad range of prices on the web, from $350 to $1,200! Suggestions?

Also, though I think this is the wrong place to ask, any suggestions for selling a bunch of hand-painted needlepoint canvases?

For the machine try the local Bernina dealer. They should be able to consult a "Blue Book" of sorts or the techs should have a real good idea. As for the needlepoint canvases try a consignment shop that carries furnishings and art.

Shawn, brand new in 1997, a Bernina Inspiration 1530 went for about $2800. I don't know of their value now. To me, the price of a used machine is only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it. Sorry that I can't be of more help to you.

I looked at one on e bay yesterday and it seems it went for $450.00.
