She did a great job on their fit.. That is what gets me.. I really thought the first assignment was really difficult for the first one.. I would have been totally lost with that assignment, since I sleep in knee length Tees/gowns that I have made from cotton knit light weight fabrics. I really agreed with the judges for once ! !

Boo hoo  ... I didn't get to watch the premier as I was teaching my sewing class. It wasn't repeated at 10pm as it has been in the past & I was too exhausted to stay up until 12am to watch it. Hopefully, I can catch it later today.

I loved the show last night and the "pre-show" too. Wonderful contestants. Yes, 4 months she said she's been sewing. Amazing. She's a natural. I'm glad the last guy was out. He was more interested in his hair looking good than following Tim's advice re: incorporating his scarf. You ALWAYS take Tim's advice!! I really like the two "old" folks. The guy from L.A. and the very, very, blond lady.

I'm so glad Project Runway is back! Episodes are, thankfully, available online once again: Episode 1

Anya's story is impressive - I was expecting her to be that one person who can't sew but yet stays through the first few challenges just for dramatic effect, but she proved me wrong! I was surprised so many of them chose to do pants, given the limitations with time and only one fitting with the model.

I thought it was a really tough challenge (good thing nobody slept in the nude!). I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with next time -- hopefully they will have a little more freedom, although it looks like it might be a group challenge, which seems to always be a recipe for drama and mediocre design/sewing.

I loved Anya's outfit! She did a fantastic job. Hopefully she will last for a while. I agreed with the judges too.

Even though I should have been finishing my dress, I had to watch it last night. (Kind of made me feel like I do when I sit on the couch and watch "Biggest Loser" instead of exercising!) I couldn't miss it though -- I'm always amazed at what the contestants are able to produce in such a short period of time, and sometimes with limited resources. I loved the dress that won! I want that dress!! And I couldn't believe how great the pants and top looked that were made by the gal who said she was just learning to sew! That's inspiring.... at least I don't have to learn with time constraints and judges ready to pick apart my finished results! I definitely agree with the judges and their choices regarding the bottom three also...
