This seems a little mean, but I might just have to try this one!

would it work to sew lace to their underwear? That is where the problem really is these days!
I was complaining to DS about his underwear showing & he showed me why! He can't find work pants long enough so he wears his waist lower instead. I am going to have to get him a pair from the big & tall shop If they have any skinny enough for his waist. He buys himself 34X34s but I really think he needs a 32X35. He is 6'3" & weighs about 155lbs. He eats all the time but he never stops moving. He works 40-50 hrs a week on his landscaping job & then tries to keep the local BMX track in shape & goes to out of town races 2-3 weekends a month. Plus being 22 he tries to have a little social time (mostly video games). His sister is after him to find a girlfriend & he just laughs. He does get some down time from Nov - March when he is off of the landscaping but still races at indoor tracks a few weekends a month.

I was at a hockey game in Syracuse and there was a kid about 12 or 13 with his hands full of nachos and sodas. His pants kept slipping down and the poor kid had his hands full. In the end he dumped a soda all over himself and the floor or the pants would have been around his ankles.
Everyone was laughing and his Dad showed up, took the other soda and nachos and told the kid to go get a mop. Of course the maintenance people were going to mop up the mess but Dad wasn't having any of that. You kind of got the feeling the pants were an ongoing issue in that family.
I'd be willing to bet the kid wears a belt now.

I threaten the kids at school that I will staple their shirts to their underwear. They tuck in then ;)

Around here the story goes like this: Shannon's son Jake was headed out for a date. His dad walked up to him talking just shooting the breeze asking questions about Jakes day and plans about the date. While chatting, Shannon graduallu takes hold of jakes pants waist and hikes it higher and higher to get the boy in a rather uncomfortable position. Shannon continued to chat with Jake for several minuts all the time keeping the pants hiked up. When Shannon let go, Jake went to his room and put on a belt and tucked his shirt in. All without one unpleasent exchange between he and his father. Of course Shannon is a farrier(shoes horses) and has biceps that would put most weight lifters to shame. Jake is following his father in the craft and has the utmost respect for his dad.

My mom used to indicate that sewing lace on boys shirt tails was what some mothers did (ages ago) to discourage sloppiness.

That's a really cute little ad! We don't have that problem here, the problem in our house is buttcrack. I don't think lace would work, in fact that's giving me a horrible picture in my head and I wish I hadn't gone there :shh:
