Dorothy, did you get to interview him? He does sound like a cool guy! I hope when I'm 93 that I am still moving!! and sewing.

The doctor's office did call today to reschedule my appt for the 27th of January. That is one appt that I will keep regardless. Today, DD & I went to Olive Garden for a leisurely lunch as my dad had sent me a gift card for Christmas. He intended it for hubby & I but hubby didn't want to go to Olive Garden anytime soon. He's gotten so cautious about what he eats so he told me to use it any way that I wanted & suggested that I take DD out. So I did. Made for a nice mother/daughter time.

On CJOH evening news, they usually do a weeklly report on a senior extraordinaire... I think highlighting someone who is so active in their senior years is great. I would like to be interviewed when I'm that age... ;)

I did interview him. He was a fun guy. Maybe the story will be on line (it should run Thursday) and I will post a link -- if I remember.
Judy, I'll interview you when you are 93.

Dorothy, thought you'd get a kick out of this. Coworker's daughter works at GM Place for the Canucks. Her girlfriend had a baby boy this past week, called him Kessler, as in Ryan! I wonder how many baby boys have hockey players names? Though I can't imagine Crosby, or Luongo, or Sedin for a first name, or Gretzky but some of them would work quite well.

We have a Roy in Buffalo. That would be a good one. Or Miller.
There are some great Russian and Eastern European players. How about Ovechkin or Anisimov or, my favorite, Malkin?
I think I will just name my next baby Sid.

I have been totally swamped with work and kids (grandkids!) It is a rare moment anymore that I have to get on the computer and catch up with my friends. I have actually gotten some sewing and quilting done-doesn't feel like it but I know I have because I keep a list of everything I do just so i can convince myself that I actually do get something done! Am supposed to be the local quilt guild meeting tonight but have been so stressed I decided to take a "me' night!

I am headed to a 4 day quilt retreat in Flagstaff the end of March though-looking forward to that and hoping it warms up by then!

also new, I have a new grandson due end of Feb or early March! Can't wait! I love those babies!! That will make 7 for me-3 girls and 4 boys.

I promise to try and make it back more often-i think of all of you often and wish i had time to pop in.

Hope everyone is doing well and surviving all the horrible winter weather!!
