Boy, this place is like a ghost town lately.

So, whatcha doin' ? Any plans for the weekend? What's for dinner? How's the weather?

Me first; Finished some embroidery this morning and about to start on another very snazzy bag or two for the sisters-in-law.

Visiting my mom tomorrow with dd for a Mother's Day tea. Mom's not doing so well. Can hardly talk on the phone. Can't imagine what we'll do when she can't speak any longer. Apparently that's what's in store. :(

Working outside this weekend before we get some rain Monday. Plan to drag indoor plants outside for trimming, watering, repotting and TLC. Finishing up the bags and getting them in the mail by Monday. (That's the goal anyway. )

Dinner, hmmmmm, hamburgers I think. Regular or maybe teriyaki mushroom or even sloppy joes. It's early yet, just 1:00, time to decide.

The weather is lovely. Absolutely perfect with a warm sun, cloudless sky and a cool breeze.

(And btw, today would have been my 32nd anniversary had I stayed married to the first one. Would have been widowed three years ago. Yikes! We married 5/6/78. Major mistake despite what some would consider a lucky number sequence.)

Hi Lennie,

We had another busy day at the office post tax season, lots of calls etc. Hubby is spending loads of time winding up his Dad's estate from 2000 miles away.

Dinner tonight is Beef Stroganoff with a tossed salad and a butter tart for dessert :)

I'm working away on the quilt and some outfits for wee ones in St.Louis and Edmonton.

Saturday we are off to Kitchener to visit with our ds, dil and wee grandson Caleb. We are taking him to Children's Museum then out to dinner at a lovely steakhouse called Charcoal.

Sunday will be my day to play in the garden/sewing room/scrapbooking table.

We have a cold, windy gray afternoon.

Take care, enjoy the weekend.

well I worked all day until 2:00 then I went to the grocery store & came home to start baking for staff tomorrow because it is my turn again. I made an oreo dessert, Texas sheet cake, carrot cookies & peanut butter rice krispie treats, I also made iced tea & pink lemonade. The other staff person that is supposed to be helping is at a conference for 2 days. He said he was bringing a fruit tray & a veggie tray but he was going to do that yesterday & I haven't seen it so If he brings stuff OK & if not they will have to settle for what I bring.I had to stop at 5:45 to pick up DD at her last day as a freshman at college & take her to her Girl Scout meeting( she is a leader). lucky for me DH got done in time to pick her up at 8:00. I got to watch Survivor.
Now on to shower & go to bed since I have to be at work early to set up before I actually start working.
The only thing planned for this weekend is the kids are bringing me dinner on Sunday & helping to plant flowers (if they bring me any).
UH OH!!! I took to long now DH is in the shower. Guess I will go rinse some of my baking dishes while I wait for a turn.
I sat here too long & played agame on the computer & now DD beat me to the shower! :x

I finally got my shower!!! :applause:
If we hadn't invested in the new water heater 2 YRS ago I would be up until midnight waiting for enough hot water for a shower.

Yesterday was a beautiful day - sunny, warm, nice breeze. DH plays golf every Thursday so DD & I had an easy dinner of Monte Cristo sandwiches. I swept and mopped kitchen, living room, hallway and bathroom because DH cut grass and doesn't know how to use a doormat. I had to mop because the lovely man made me a gallon of iced tea (I could tell by the spots on the floor in front of the refrigerator).

Since there was nothing on TV that I thought was worth watching, I put together the bodice of a dress for DD. So far, so good. If I get off here, I may have time to sew the center back seam and be ready to have a dress after school today.

I spent a little while on the phone with DDIL tonight. DGS has been sick, running a fever. DS sent me text at 2 pm that DDIL had to take little one to ER with 105.5 temp. This Nana began to panic until they said all tests were fine and they think he has a sinus infection and possibly some type of virus. Chest x-rays, blood work, nasal discharge culture all came back fine so they sent him home after an antibiotic shot. He had been and still is on oral antibiotics. DS said he slept all day and finally started to perk up around 10 pm last night. Whew!

We are going on a class trip today to the local community college to see a play by a survivor of a Nazi death camp. We have watched the movie Escape from Sobibor in class. I certainly hope the play isn't as graphic as the movie. One of our special ed. kids cried for 20 minutes after the first hour of watching on Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Everyone have a wonderful day and a great Mother's Day weekend!!! Our extended family is going out to eat at the neighborhood restaurant on Sunday so none of the mothers have to do any cooking! ;)

I worked all day Wednesday and Thursday and will work today. Nothing stressful though.

I found out yesterday we will be moving before the end of the month. To Buffalo. Not to a better climate.
We will be near my oldest daughter.
My husband was offered a good job and he hasn't been happy where he is at. So, what the heck. My editor pointed out I could do what I do from Timbuktu. Well, half of it, anyway.
So I will be pretty busy for the next few weeks, I think. But I told my husband I am not going to get stressed.

Yesterday, I was exhausted & slept until noon after DH & DD left for their respective jobs. In the afternoon, I did a little sewing, some computer time, washed & folded 3 loads of laundry & had dinner cooked by 6pm. We had Teriyaki chicken, boiled potatoes & steamed broccoli. After dinner, washed dishes & then drove an hour to a park in an unincorporated area of the county so I could watch DD play softball. Got lost along the way but made it in time to watch the game. Sarah didn't get a chance to play. After the game (in which her team won) we went to Sonic for snacks & chat with friends. Got home at 10:30pm & was exhausted so I went to bed after calming Max down, taking meds & insulin shot plus getting DH's clothes ready for today. Today, it will be some sewing & rest. We'll have a quiet evening with pork roast marinated in sesame ginger sauce & veggies for dinner.

Jan, unincorporated area of the county is the land outside the city limits before the next town within the same county. I drove past the entrance to the park & about 4 miles before I turned around & found the entrance. We have another game there next Thursday night.
