Just practiced the welted pocket - it works great. The pattern I have calls for false pockets (just a welt) on the waistcoat but I am going to do these instead. Basil has a pocket watch and I know he would love it more.

I just noticed I had a few holes in our tutorial list. It is updated now. Anyone found any new sites with tutorials or free patterns?

Looks like I should update this list!

Anyway, I just found this website: VintageSewing.info

It has many public domain sewing books from the 1890's through 1940's in electronic format, including a couple on pattern drafting. This looks like it would be a great resource for basic sewing, tailoring, vintage dressmaking, etc. :)

Kaitlin, it's one of the sites that I refer to often. Thanks for posting it.

In response to people going "OH that's what the hole in the serger foot is for" I found these links to short videos on using different feet. As a visual learner I need 'em. The bias foot for an overlocker is sheer genius.
