altering a spagehetti strap top's bust

i have this top that i bought a couple of years ago, its a spagehetti strap singlet top and has triangles that create a v-neck, and the elastic is supposed to sit under the bust but it doesnt what can i do to make it sit where its supposed to?

Ezza, are the triangles large enough to cover each bust? Where does the elastic sit now? Am trying to visualize to help you.
