And so they now look like this..

Ace Mum me! The shoes are so heavy though they are bending the wire on the coat hanger...

Take 3 wire hangers, put them together, tape them, then crochet around them to hold them together. Use duct tape and really wrap tape around them all around. Maybe 2 of the type of hanger you are showing in pic. It helps to make them stronger.

Thanks Reta- I have put two hangers in it now and it seems fine - the duct tape is a good idea I hadn't thought of, thanks.

I had a coat hanger (rather than just wire ones) and it was unbending the hook.

You are sewing up a storm!!
I made a hand bag thing like that but get lazy and just throw them on the shelves.

My DD came home from her university in May with over 60 pairs of shoes. I bought her a large rubbermaid tub to put them in. I know that she has over 100 pair at last count. She bought 3 new pairs of shoes over the summer plus several pairs of flipflops. The child has a shoe collection that would rival Imelda Marcos I think. Me, I have less than 10 pair including my boots.

Very nice Jan. :applause: Would make a nice organizer for toys in a kids room too. Or a nursery for baby things.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

I like that hanging one.. I just have the plastic ones that sit on the floor in my closet that holds a dozen pairs of shoes.. The rest of mine are in boxes stacked on the floor..
