One more large tote bag. This may be the last one that I have enough fabric for. The next piece of fabric in line may be close, so we'll see. This puts my total over the last stash challenge. Getting closer to goal. And BTW, I think I'm keeping this one. It's a black background with tan turtles & hibiscus print. I had the piece in my clothing pile for a long time, but I really don't look good in black, so it went into the halau fundraiser pile. But I still really like the print so I think it's mine.

Finished a tunic this morning. Got me over my goal for the last challenge, tho I doubt that I'll reach my goal by next Monday. Boy, this thread is quiet. I can't believe I left the last post. I know you guys are sewing, I've seen the beautiful pictures. Are you just not using your stash?

I made DGD a pair of shorts for her birthday from my stash.. They were too long waisted in the front.. I forgot how hard she is to fit.. So, I turned it into a sewing lesson for her.. I had the pattern with me to let her cut a pair , anyway., so it worked out pretty good.. We talked about what alterations needed to me made, and then I traced 2 new pattern pieces on tissue, and when I cut them out I laid an extra tissue underneath and now I have a pattern and she has one.. We did not have time to sew, since we had an Easter dinner and Birthday Combined to attend, but it was a good lesson and she helped me make the new pattern pieces.. I'm not competing, just showing stash is being used..

OK here are my goals:
Sew buttons back on DH's pants & DS's shirt
sew aprons I cut out for work
Make DD's cloak (was supposed to be Christmas)
Make curtains for laundry room
Make DGD's Easter dresses
Then whatever suits my fancy when I have time & energy to sew!

I got everything done on my list except the cloak (saving that for next winter). Plus I finished baby shower presents, top for dd for Easter, dress for friends Dd for Easter (matched DGD's),I made 2 size 3 peasent tops from the scraps of DD's top for some 2YO friends of ours. Last night I cut out another top for DD & an apron for the secretary at work who has been begging for one for months. The apron fabric is a scrap I had left from a top I made for myself before I got married (our 29th anniv. is next Sunday) Hows that for using up stash! All fabric for everything I have done was in my stash since at least Dec.

an Applique BOM - last block to be finished and the quilt to be assembled and quilted

Well as you see I didn't get much accomplished (see comments in red above). But the little bit I did was better than nothing at all.... :( Was sick for a while so that got me behind and it's taking me a while to get back at things. Still not truly up to par...but will get there eventually. Good Luck to everyone else.

Well, I've accomplished almost nothing on my list. I'm *almost* ready to quilt my 2007 calendar quilt. I decided it was best not to start another one for this year. I hope I'll find more time to quilt some quilt tops this summer. My need for spring and summer clothes is distracting me from quilting, even thought I do go through some UFOs now and then and try to get motivated to finish them. Then I remember some fabric that would make a great skirt, or notice a pattern I bought last year. :shame:
I got around to making two tiered skirts this week, both from stash fabric. One for me and one for dd. I have several things cut out and ready to sew together. A summer dress, another skirt, and some capris. I also finally got around to hemming some jeans that I bought over a year ago.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

23.25 yards / 25 yards

Came close to my goal. Probably if we hadn't gone on vacation, I would have made it. Won't trade. I'm starting to see some progress in using up my stash. I think I didn't realize how much I had. A few more yards before I go shopping.

I almost met my goal. I didn't do DD's cloak but I did make an extra babydress & 2 tops for 2 year olds of friends.

Well I fizzeled out before I even got started. I have started again on a sweet purse that I cut out months ago. It will be adorable. I also finished the Curves banner. Maybe I am over my depressed state and can begin to sew more again.
