Computer upload

New postby Sewing Lady on Tue Mar 18, 2008 9:25 am

Why does it tell me when I am trying to post that the extension EML is not allowed?

I think that I asked this before and am not sure if I missed the post or if noone knew the answer.

Thanks
Leighanna

Leighanna -- here's your post: Trying to attach

What are you trying to upload? The file extension EML seems to only be used by e-mail programs such as Microsoft Outlook. If you want to upload an image you will have to use an image format like jpg, gif, bmp, etc.

I was trying to attach a funny that was sent to me via e/mail. Is there something that I should be doing to change the format so that it will post.

Thanks
Leighanna

If it is text, just copy and paste it. If it is an image, you will have to attach the image, not the e-mail itself. If you are on a PC, try right clicking on the image and selecting "Save Image As" to save the image. Then you should be able to attach it here.

Hmm. I have no idea about that. Sorry!

The EML file won't work because web browsers aren't able to read EML files, so no one would be able to view it. EML files only work in e-mail programs.
