Machine Mishap

New postby MartySews2 on Sun Sep 15, 2019 5:40 pm

Yesterday, I fried my Babylock Sofia2 computerized sewing/embroidery machine due to a careless error. It is my class machine. I tried to use an embroidery card for the first time and put it in wrong. Then I turned off the machine with the card in it and then turned it on again. Yep, it will not work. I could kick myself for being so careless. Anyway, the repair will cost $500+ which is not in my budger. Fortunately, I have other machines to use in class but I now can no longer do machine embroidery away from home. Total frustration!!!

Ouch! Sorry to hear this. Getting anything repaired now is very expensive.

I've been given a quote of $350 and will hold off getting it repaired until after the first of the year. Have other more pressing expenses. I do have a total of 6 sewing machines so it's not like I cannot sew.
