Continuing to sew pillows for the homeless and making preemie burial gowns. Started making some sock monkeys.

Nice lot of sewing Marty.
I have made baby quilt, jacket for DD and a couple t shirts for GS this month.
Made a toille for a dress using a vest pattern on Sunday. Only to find I didn't have enough fabric that I had earmarked in the stash so had to break my fabric diet and bought 2 pieces linen knit- well if you fall off your diet may as well do a good job
Got a charity sewing day this coming Sunday. We are making pillowcases or boxer shorts. My sewing buddy and I are going to make shorts.

Marty and Skye glad to hear you are still sewing. I'm still sewing for babies-totes, clothing, blankets, preemie items etc. Tomorrow our group is having a huge yard sale to raise money so we can have a fund to draw from when items are needed for the babies/Moms.
I sent home Abby's Halloween costume for this year. She wanted to be Owlette , a PJ Mask character. I made the cape with feathers, the mask and the emblem that I attached to her shirt. She is so excited and can't wait to wear it to her school because a couple of her friends there are going to be some of the other characters.

Yard sale was a success even though it rained. Will have another in the spring.

I decided to alter a tunic pattern today for myself. I had looked up reviews of it and the only complaint was it runs big so I went down a size but increased the bicep measurement. I've always had large arms even when I was a teen and normal weight. When I bought blouses then I always went up a size to accommodate them. I also adjusted how low the front V is as I read that it is lower than most like. I just need to cut out facings and a yoke and I'll be ready to start sewing. That will have to wait til Tuesday as tomorrow is filled with appointments and errands.

Yesterday, I made 15 more pillows and stuffed over 25. Tomorrow, I am going to meet with a friend and hem her mother of the bride gown and her husband's suit pants. She missed her alteration appointment when her sister died and the shop cannot get her rescheduled until after the wedding. Should be a quick job. I will use my serger for the hemming. I'm cleaning now to prepare for our bedroom make-over so not doing much sewing except reading some of my sewing books and keeping up with my sewing groups on Facebook.

Our charity sewing dY went well. Sewing buddy and I made some pretty knit PJ shorts.
Unfortunately my servger decided to malfunction when we only had 2 more to do. Foot lever raiser stopped working resulting in no foot pressure. So she is off at the machine hospital hopefully I will get her back this week. I am a bit apprehensive as using a new tech my last one retired.
Any way have sewn a cardi jacket as an experiment. Not my usual style and I suspect my sewing buddy will get it.
Busy at work so no more sewing until th weekend when I plan on making a toille for Tessuti Pia got apiece of linen knit to sacrifice.

Father of bride's pants are now hemmed ... cut off 2-1/2 inches and put in a 1-1/2 inch hem. Mother of the bride dress only needs the top stitching to the hem. Had to cut off 9 inches on her dress. My sergers decided to act out and I thought that they would have to go to the shop. However, after sitting in the corner overnight near the floor furnace, my big serger decided to behave and is working great now. She will be serviced after the first of the year. Other sewing is working on Christmas projects from last year. However, right now, am doing a major purge of "stuff" in the house so we won't continue to look like a hoarder's abode. Getting some shelves built for the closet and having curtains hung plus other little odd jobs.
