Max

New postby MartySews2 on Sun Oct 01, 2017 10:29 pm

My pup, Max, crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday at 10:15am. He developed pleural effusion (fluid build up in the chest and abdominal cavity) and couldn't get his breath. Max was 12-1/2 yrs old and I have had him since he was 3 wks old. Tests showed that he had a large cancerous tumor in the abdominal area and could not live much longer without being in an oxygen chamber. We didn't realize that he was in such pain so we made the decision that was best for him. I really miss my pup. This pic was taken on 9/3/2017.

Marty, I'm so sorry about your loss of Max. I know how comforting a pet can be and how hard it can be to say goodbye to them.

I'm so sorry Marty. I know he was a faithful companion to you, and that you gave him a good life. I hope soon you can remember him for all the happy times.

Thank you, everyone. Our vet sent me a clay disk with his paw print and name on it. I have tucked it away in my joy box with his photo plus the sympathy cards that I received. It's been a few weeks now so I am ready to look for another pup but hubby says no. I would like to get an older pup that has been housebroken, micro-chipped neutered and is playful. It seems that all of my pups have lived to be around the age of 12 before illness sets in. I do like male pups the best. When the time is right, I will have another one.
Marty ;)
