My next door neighbor has 3 dogs that I help care for while she is at work. They chewed the cushion on her loveseat and one on the sofa which offered no place for guests to sit. She asked me if I would make a cover for the cushions. We went on Monday evening to Hancock Fabrics and she bought supplies for this project. What she wanted was a large pillowcase covering the 2 new cushions that she bought for the loveseat. Then she wanted the back of the loveseat covered. I offered to make her slip covers but she said that wasn't necessary. So I took my machine to her house and did as she asked. Note: A Doberman and Mastiff spend their days on the loveseat looking out the window. Here is a pic of the covered loveseat. Sorry but the lighting was not very good.

A real quick project after I finished up the bridal stuff, my next door neighbor wants to give a canvas bag to a friend. She brought it to me to embroider her friend's name on the front of the bag. I had her pick out a font and I prepared the bag for embroidery. Voila ... Here is the bag ... Quick and easy in less than 10 minutes.

Here is another quick project that I did with my ASG members when we went on a road trip (I got to travel for the 1st time in years) to Oxford, MS to visit a little shop called Sit N Rock Quilt and Fabric store. We made these little jar openers from fat quarters. It was a fun day even though I was exhausted when I got home.

Very pretty. Is there some sort of gripper backing to aid in opening the jars? They look quick and easy and would probably do well in a craft sale for those who do them. I've never done one since I don't like to make the same thing over and over again - I spread out the baby items so I do some of each and move on to the next so I don't get bored.
DH and I just don't have the strength in our hands any longer so have one of those openers that are in the shape of a wedge and a long handle. Works for us. Have you seen the automatic jar opener? Saw it on tv and it looks interesting though don't know how practical it is since most food items come in plastic jars now and all they showed were glass. Plus it takes up a lot of drawer space for only an occasional use.

Hi Brockie, all it takes is a fat quarter, some fusible fleece, and some rubberized shelving. Super quick and easy.
