My day was almost perfect except for having to go to the dentist at 8am. Had to get up at 4am to take antibiotics. Even so, I was out earlier from my dental appt than I had thought I would be. I spent the rest of the day reading my new sewing books, watching TV, and napping. My new sewing books are Sewing Essentials ... Serger Techniques by Pamela Leggett. It includes a companion DVD; The Colette Guide to Sewing Knits by Alyson Clair; and Burdastyle's Modern Sewing Full Figure Fashion with 24 patterns included. My sister sent me a gift card to Outback Steakhouse and we went out to dinner last night. Hubby got confused in trying to pay the bill that he ended up giving our waitress a $60 tip on a $40 meal (after gift card). When I asked him about it, he said that she needed the money as others around us were not tipping. He's so generous and she was totally shocked. Oh well, he made me very happy with my sewing gifts. Thank you for all of the good wishes, thoughts and prayers. This past month has been a bit rough so this was a great way to celebrate turning 63. I am truly blessed.
