One of the easiest dresses to make is a pillowcase dress. Just measure how long you want the dress ... 3/4 yd should do it which is about 27 inches. Cut out an area for the arms, make a casing at the top and run a ribbon thru it to tie at the shoulders. Hem the dress and the armhole area. Here are instructions from one of the websites ... http://www.redinstead.com.au/pillowcase ... structions. Good luck and be sure to post pics!!!

I've gotten a lot of instructions for children's clothing by searching for free sewing patterns and naming what I'm looking for. Some have step by step directions, others have patterns you can print out, others have a video you can watch. One website had a cute dress, sleeveless with a circle skirt that was very cute and gave detailed instructions on how to make your own pattern according to the child's measurements. I'll look and see if I can find it.
Like Marty said- post pictures if you can. Me I wish I could, not computer savvy enough for that yet. I'm one of those with a cell phone and all I do with it is answer when it rings. :o
Here is the website for the dress: http://chinelobally.com/2014/03/11/summ ... s-edition/
