Hi, my name is Star and I am obsessed with machine embroidery, sewing and quilting!! I work for a T-shirt shop as the Head Embroiderist and then I come home and sew, do machine embroidery on my Brother PE700, or quilt to relax, Crazy I know!! I am the grandma to 4 cute grandbabies and love to make them stuff!! I have 5 kids and have made them all a Senior quilt except the last two (one just graduated and the other is a junior). I have a lot of information on Machine embroidery (I work on the big machines and play with my little one!!) and would love to share what I can.

Welcome to the group. I do a lot of machine embroidery too and sew garments for myself, friends and family. I'm retired and volunteer a lot and my sewing follows me wherever I go. Will look forward to seeing pics of your projects and reading about your sewing adventures. I hope you will enjoy the forum as much as I do.

Welcome Star. I sew garments for my family and have 7 grands that I've sewn for. I also sew for a charity that I enjoy. I don't do any embroidery unless it is by hand or if I use the decorative stitches on my machine. At my age it seemed just too much to invest in.

Hi Star! Sounds like you have loads of energy to do fun and creative things! Can't wait to see some of your projects. I am not into embroidery yet, as I have just this year learned how to use a serger and coverstitch machine, and having a great time with them. I will be close to retiring in a couple of years, and may try my hand at embroidery then. Have fun!

Star, welcome. I am a lurking member and not sewing for almost 2 years. I have done a small amount of machine embroidery on the sewing/embroidery Janomie 5700 I bought used several years ago. Hmm, time flies doesn't it. I love to sew for my grandchildren but they have out grown it. I love to sew clothes and just about anything not overly complicated, being a novice, even though I have sewn for years, a little here and there. I love a challenge and often end up I over my head and toss the whole project after it sits in a wad for months or even years. It lifts me up to see the sewing projects of others, so, please bless us by posting pictures. I am considering turning my sewing room back into a bedroom or small exercise room.
