Beautiful dress, and bride definitely looks happy and confident in it! A job well done, Marty.

I loved seeing the pictures of the blushing bride in your creation. What a pretty dress.

Great job!! :applause: :applause:
I have to say, I don't know if I would ever have the courage to ever attempt a wedding dress for another person. Well done.
Maybe for myself I would.
I know I am my own harsh critic on my sewing.

Karen, I approach sewing for others as if I were sewing for myself ... the wedding dress was just a dress with fancy fabric and few extra details. Keeping that mindset, it was easy to make. The dress had a ruched midriff and a pleated top (extra details) and the skirt was just a gored skirt that formed a train in the back. I fully lined the dress and added a sheer overlay. The hard part was trying to cut the dress since I don't have a sewing room and cannot get on the floor. Once it was cut, other than fitting issues, it wasn't difficult to sew. The bride gained 20 pounds before the wedding which meant the bodice had to be re-done. All in all, I think that it turned out great and she was thrilled as was her mother.
