Martha Pullen has created a publishing business and just published a new book called G.R.A.C.E, for those who want to open a small business either home sewing or other entrepreneurial ventures. She sold her company to Hoffman Media in 2004 and remained a major shareholder. In 2013, Hoffman Media sold the company to F&W Media who quit publishing Sew News magazine, moved the warehouse to Indiana, and has generally skewed the heirloom sewing/smocking world. Martha's husband, Joe Pullen, has dementia so she has cut back on her traveling. Martha does have a "no compete" clause that I think is good for 2 or maybe it's 5 yrs. She has just launched a new website focusing on small businesses and does a few sewing events throughout the year. With F&W Media, they are producing her new Martha Pullen TV shows (subscription only - $100 a yr) and have taken over her online Internet Embroidery Club. The sewing schools have been cancelled and those who went to the one in February have complained about how "awful" it was. They had one scheduled for Atlanta in April but it was cancelled. People from all over were upset as they had booked hotel reservations and airline flights. From all reports, it seems like F&W Media has ruined the Martha Pullen Company and it's name.
