My Sewing Class

New postby MartySews2 on Sun Apr 27, 2014 11:56 am

Yesterday I was a student in a sewing class sponsored by the Memphis Area Smocking Guild. Lezette Thomason, of Children's Corner, in Nashville, TN, came to Memphis for a one day class. We made the "Louise" dress and learned to do scallops and a Madeira applique hem. It was a lot of fun. I got to meet some of my FB and internet friends of which I have been corresponding with for several years. Here is a picture of the sample dress and of the entire class.

The little dress is precious. It is fun to get together with others who share common interests.
