Let's hope it is only a computer hiccup. My other one went pfft so I am using Win98 and it is hard to check my email for notifications.
I have been doing some knitting! I haven't done any since moving here in '99. Those twirly scarves are fun to make.

Piney, a word of caution. I made 3 for gifts at church. 2 to the pastors, they both loved them and 1 to the lady who does all the managing of the Christmas in Afghanistan project that I make the stockings for.. She wore hers to church today and 4 people have come up to me and asked me to make them one.. So, be careful about who you give them to..

Thanks for the warning, Libby. I am smiling as I have made 3 so far. DH said, looks like I know what everyone gets for Christmas next year. I asked him what color he wanted. I have found the it is easier for me to use the Paton yarn than the Red Heart. I can't bend the right thumb to help seperate and count the top openings of the yarn and the Red Heart clings together a bit more. Love the colors that are offered.

I love working on them because I can also watch tv at the same time.. I hate that red heart yarn.. I love the Starbella and the Chrysalis and there is another one I cannot think of the name right now. I sure wish the Sashay by red heart was as easy to handle as these others.. I have another skein of the Wild Hydrangea to go yet. That is my personal favorite color blend of all. Its because it matches my new jacket I wear to church about every other Sunday, and sometimes more.. The purple and aqua or teal are just so pretty together and of course the white in there just sets it off perfectly..I will probably make that one up soon. I may just put it away so if my first one like that gets damaged I would have a replacement. (Sounds a little selfish, doesn:t it? But I do need to think of myself once in a while, I guess.. LOL

Thanks for the other names. I wrote them down and have them in my purse in case I get near a shop. My closest Jo-Ann's just had the Red Heart and Paton's that I noticed. No Hobby Lobby close by...about 11/2 hours from here. Hmmm, maybe Ben Franklin might carry different companies, they are only 45 min. away as is Walmart.

Has anyone heard from Dorothy or Lennie? It's as if they have totally disappeared from the group. They are missed as well as Pam, Patsy, Lori, etc. I must admit that I don't check the quilting boards so they may be posting there but they are truly missed.
