Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. I hate to write so I wouldn't get into a project like this one. I'd rather tackle a block of the month one of these days.
That is so cool! I don't quilt, but that would be a good way to start! One question I have is how would you quilt it? Stitch in the ditch would be painful, I am guessing. I will be thinking...maybe a 30 day journaling quilt, or a recipe quilt...ooohh....sounds fun.
I like to write however I don't think I would want to put it in a quilt....I am working at a Block of the Month and now I know why it't named so appropiately because it will be a month before I get the first block done....I have been 3 days working at it and have at least another 3 for the applique part but I love it....mostly all snowmen...
I think it is an interesting idea, but this is too much. For me, a few blocks containing journal entries, or thoughts, or words of wisdom scattered throughout a quilt would make it very special for the recipient.

Hi Vickki, I hope you are enjoying the snow ...I was just reading about the blizzard in NL, and viewing some of the pics posted on the news outlet websites. I actually miss the snow...
As many of you know I do dabble with some poetry, I also enjoy a bit of story telling. I was thinking of maybe doing this to journal the ups and downs of my entry into my forties (which happens to begin in 5 short days ).
Gina, that would be a neat idea, doing poetry etc in one. It's something I'd never attempt though and my handwriting is so bad no one could read it, heck I can't even read it after I go back to re-read something I wrote!
Laura Go Canucks! Asking a quilter to mend something is like asking Picasso to paint your garage
