Just the usual busy stuff...work, volunteer stuff, kids activities, grocery runs...blah, blah, blah. None of it interesting enough to talk about, and haven't sewed anything except hemming tuxedo pants for kid # 1. Just a mundane week, l guess.

I've been busy trying to get the fit right on a dress for a DGD. She is autistic and has definite likes/dislikes on fabric and fit so it has been interesting. Mom lives out of state is a nonsewer so getting measurements and feed back from muslins I've sent has really been interesting. I've sent lots of websites and pictures and diagrams to aide in getting this dress done. Hopefully now I can cut it out and get it sewn before the holidays since she wanted a holiday dress!

I've been busy helping out at our local food pantry. We've been doing our annual holiday food drive which means a lot more volume than usual. We cover more than 15 counties and expect to provide nearly two million meals this month alone!

What movie did you watch? I watched the fourth Harry Potter movie tonight on Pay Per View. I had seen the first three of them years ago with my grandnieces. They're fun movies. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of them as I have free time. I read the first five of the books back when my grandnieces were into the books, too, and enjoyed those. Of course they don't compare to serious literature, but they are still good stories and it comes in handy to know what the kids are into now and then (even if Harry Potter is a bit out of date now!).

Finished the dress yesterday and it is ready to be mailed today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it fits.
Taking my sewing machine and supplies with us when we go visit so I can alter some of the 'muslin' so she can wear them too.
Vicki are you feeling better. Hope so. I've read where the CDC thinks it is going to be a rough year for the flu.
Everyone stay healthy.
Miss Fleecy we watced all the Harry Potter movies with our grankids. Our daughter said once her kids found out we were visiting they would haul out the movies. I even borowed the books from our oldest granddaughter to read.

It's been really busy, and I haven't had time for sewing. This close to the holidays, I tend to focus more on cooking and baking. I've been making lots of candy this week to test recipes. I think I'm going to make red and green gumdrops (maybe cherry and lime flavors) and put them in some glass Christmas tree containers. That will be a good generic gift for neighbors etc.

I doubt I'll have time for sewing projects till after the holidays.
