Meet Kaitlinnegan

Hi everyone,

Some of you may know me already, but some may not so I thought I'd post a short intro. I've been doing various crafts since I was a little girl, but I didn't take up sewing until January 2006 when I was looking for a wedding dress and DH said, "Well, why don't you make your own?" I thought he was crazy, but I also thought it would be a fun challenge! I bought a machine, taught myself to sew, and made my wedding dress for our July 2006 wedding. Since then, I've been mostly interested in garment sewing but would love to make more bags and purses, home dec stuff, stuffed animals for my 8-month old nephew, and maybe even quilting. Even though I've been sewing for a while, I still consider myself a beginner in many ways since I'm still learning the basics.

As far as my life outside of sewing, I live in Wisconsin with my husband and dog. I love to cook and go running with my dog. By day, I am a graduate student at the university working on computational biology research. Well, I hope to see some familiar faces around here, and meet some new ones too!

Ohh, I might have a couple of them lying around here. I'll post a thread over in completed projects when I get my act together.
