Something for me!

Postby temom on Tue Jun 17, 2008 3:31 pm

I finally made something for me, and although the pic looks like it is tight in the chest, I think it is just the way I was standing, and I've worn this all day.

That's cute. :applause:
I have a pattern kind of like that that I've been planning to use. I finally picked up the elastic for it. Did yours sew up quickly?

Thanks. I usually take a looonnnnnggggg time the first time through a pattern. I couldn't figure out the elastic drawstring, and finally had an aha moment - the drawstrings go on each end of the elastic. I did have to cut 10 inches off the elastic (I used the elastic guide for my size) to keep it on my shoulders. But really, if I make it again, it will probably take me about 30 minutes or less (assuming I don't do something stupid and have to undo it). One thing I liked about this was how easy it was to cut out the pieces - I hate that step. On the instructions, it was so broken up because of all the different steps, I went through and highlighted the instructions I needed.
