Here's the quilt I completed for the challenge, which had the red run into some of the bone color. Stupid thing is, where ever I used the bone fat quarter, is where the red took hold, the rest of the bone, which is most of the quilt, didn't absorb any. It was all Kona cotton. I've washed and washed and washed, it's faded a bit, but I'm done trying to fix it. I don't have any more fabric to even try to replace the large piece at the top of the quilt, so it is what it is. Even if it was evenly colored it would almost be liveable, but it's darker at one end and on one side than the other.
Forgot to mention I got the idea of the design from Susan, she did a quilt for her daughter in the destashification project and I absolutely loved the design, I just did a few modifications on it. By the way, she gave a great tutorial on how to do it too.
