FVI donation baby quilt

New postby bridesmom on Sun Sep 30, 2012 10:41 pm

This quilt is the one I brought home to finish. It is made of all donated fabric by one of the inmates with help from two of us volunteers. After washing it, cause it sure did smell musty, the sunbonnet babies all puffed up and I think it's just adorable. It may not be the best stitching in the world, but it was great to see how excited she was to have it finally almost complete. She was unable to finish it, as she is being paroled so I brought it home to do. I emailed a pic of it to the social programs officer to show the girls since I can't take a picture in.

That is really cute, and I don't think I could have done such a great job. Was it stitched by hand?

The colors are great. I'm guessing she'll continue quilting "on the outside" through your influence. That's really got to be a good feeling. :applause:

It's all done by machine. I'm anxious to see how much it brings at auction!
