I've been busy.The two green/red quilts are from old old stash and are to be sold at the nursing home MIL lives at. The colors may be off a bit, camera isn't working and took them with the iphone. The rainbow quilt was going to be for a donation raffle, then DD snagged it for her brother in law and wife that are due any day. Oh well, at least I get paid for this one! I may make another one for donation raffle, as I have lots of fabric I can use up. The green ones have been sandwiched for a few months, just couldn't get the ambition to quilt. The rainbow one was quick to do, and I have so much fun coming up with ideas to embellish these. I still want to add a crocheted caterpillar and a lady bug or bumble bee. The large butterfly is 3D, the wings are loose, and the flower petals will fray when washed. I have lots of buttons I could use but then it would be a wall hanging. I wanted it to be a floor quilt with different textures for baby. Still may make it a wall hanging, will let DD see it and decide. If you can think of anything else to add to the rainbow quilt feel free to mention it. I'm still not quite sure if it's 'done'. The colors look off to me, new monitor! But the back of the squares quilt has the same fabric as on the front, just looks lime green on this monitor!

That rainbow quilt is really cute. I would keep it as a quilt. I think a caterpillar and a lady bug or 2 would look great.
The window quilt is really something! What is that pattern called?

That window quilt shows the optical illusion as well or maybe even better than any I have seen in a loooooonnng time! You did a fantastic job on that.. I love it! ! !

I love the illusion quilt!! I'm expecting to find books on shelves on that one. The others are great too. Always so impressed with how industrious you are.

Laura, is the window quilt made with a solid shape and a set-in square or does it use a half-square triangle set? I really like that design!

It's 'attic windows'. The middle square is 4" the side pieces are 4x8 (finished sizes). I sewed the strips to the side of the 4x4 square stopping 1/4" from the end and sewed the mitered corner. It was amazing laying the blocks out and trying all the different patterns that you can come up with by just moving the blocks around a bit.

Years ago I made a wall hanging to learn that pattern and each 'window' had a bird framed in the square. It was pretty and I did a good job for a beginner. It had 6 squares and sold at our bazaar for $20.00 I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to get that price for our fund raiser.
