Well I guess I never posted pics of this quilt before (if I did, I can't find my previous post).
I pieced this top the weekend that my aunt broke her leg...so didn't get around to putting the borders on until sometime in April. Then it got put aside again until I finally pulled it out last weekend and quilted it. Since I haven't been doing much quilting and this was a basic design, I just quilted stitch-in-the-ditch with my walking foot.
I used the Missouri Star Quilt Company's tutorial for Summer in the Park but cut 2.5" WOF strips of coordinating fabrics instead of a jelly roll. And I just arranged the blocks to give it a scrappy look. On FB I saw a preview of a quilt in the August issue of Quilter's World which is the same scrappy idea...but done in gorgeous colours...red, black. grey and whites. I had to comment on their photo that I had just finished one using the MSQC tutorial.

Anyways, here are pics of the top. This quilt has been washed & dried in the dryer which is what they want us to do once it is finished. Since the batting and the flannel backing weren't prewashed, they shrink and make it look old...which is not my favourite thing.
