embroidery for Kenmore 19000 machine

New postby sdlm on Tue Jul 01, 2014 6:15 pm

I recently was given a kenmore 19000 embroidery machine. I would like to be able to download designs and put them on cards to use in the machine.
I used to do this when I had a brother. I am confused about what will work with this machine. Will the amazing box or magic box do this? Or do I need to get the
scan and sew thing from Janome. I know Janome made these and they use the .sew format. Just unsure if any or all of these will work.

Hope you find your answer, if so,please post it here. I have a Janome 5700 and would love to be able to download some designs but couldn't afford the Amazing Box way back when and now I haven't seen one advertised in a long time.

I believe that you can use something like the Vikant Box and card to download your designs and use them in your embroidery machine. The Amazing Box and the Magic Box only allow you to download 6 designs whereas the Vikant Box/card allows more designs to be downloaded. You will need some type of embroidery software. I personally use Embird for my embroidery software. It is not machine specific and works with all types of embroidery machines. Hope this helps.
