Not much action, huh?

I try to avoid cooking as I don't like being in the kitchen. DD made Lamb w/Lentil stew for the Seder meal at church on Thursday. On Friday, she fixed Chicken Morengo. She's adventuresome in the kitchen & is always trying new foods. She didn't get that from me. I seldom eat what she cooks as I would rather stick with my favorites than try new foods.

Roast lamb cooked with a garlic and rosemary paste slathered over the top. More roast tatties, parsnips, leeks in white sauce, carrots, green beans, yorkshire puddings followed by plum crumble and custard.
Classic Roast dinner!

My girlies will be here soon, we had the boys yesterday. I love getting the family together over a meal.

Actually we've had lots of action - earthquake wise! Still going on to a lesser degree.

The weather is VERY windy, very foggy and raining and hailing off and on. I'm loving it since it's all sure to end for the season at any time. Let's hang on to winter for as long as we can! It's 42.

Dinner: meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, veggie and salad.

This afternoon I have two appts. for work to be done. Dd is coming over for a walk with all five dogs (if the weather clears) and/or a game or two of Scrabble. Other than that some housecleaning and laundry.

Lennie I'm glad you are OK! I thought of you as soon as I heard about the Quake.
Today I had DGSs for a few hrs. while DD went to the dentist. We went to the library & they got some books, I got DVD's to watch while sewing. Dinner tonight is whatever is in the fridge. DD is gone to work, DS bowls & DH is picking up FIL & taking him to watch the boys bowl. My 2 son's, son in law & 2 nephews are on the team. Tonight is position night & they are in first place bowling the 2nd place team. If they take at least 3 of the 7 points they will have first. I was thinking about going but it will be quiet & peaceful here so I will stay home & sew.

Dorothy, Do you like cornbread ?? If so , find a recipe for Ziromiropita. It is another Greek recipe. Actually its like regular old cornbread altered greatly by adding extra eggs, some feta, and best of all grated zucchini or a mix of zucchini and yellow crookneck squashes. That is one of my favorites. I also love pastichio and you made my mouth water when I read that. I havent made that in a very long time.. My Ds that lives 40 miles up the road makes Avlolemono Soup very frequently. His YiaYia told him the first time he took her a sample that he should never use realemon instead of lemons, so now he makes it the right way and takes her a container every time. She says it is good even warmed over like that! !

So, what are you doing today?
What's for dinner?
Any sewing going on?
What's the weather like?

Today I actually did a little housework. Just a little though -- don't want to blow my image as a slob.
Then I put the piping and facing on my purple shirt. It looks good.
Lucy and I enjoyed some nice weather and now I am going to make a quick chicken soup that is kinda Italian.

So, what are you doing today? Went to school - the snow cancelled our spring break :(. Watched baseball opening day for our local pro team.

What's for dinner? We went to Mom & Dad's for re-runs of Easter dinner - ham, mac & cheese, potato salad, green bean casserole, asparagus

Any sewing going on? I cut out a muslin of a new dress pattern for me last night. I will work on it tonight while watching college basketball national championship game. Can you tell that I like sports?

What's the weather like? It was a beautiful day today with more coming this week. The temps were in the low 70's with the high on Wednesday predicted to be 81. Darn snow in February...should be on Spring break right now!

Well the boys got first place in bowling for the 2nd half of the season. Next week they bowl the same team again in a rolloff for 1st for the year.
the snow cancelled our spring break .

I sure am glad that didn't happen to us!!!! I needed this break, The kids all did too. The principal was writing suspensions everyday last week for fighting. I don't think we would have any students left if they didn't get a break!

Oh what a great day yesterday was!!! My favorite baseball team opened the season with an 11-1 win, my favorite college basketball team won the National Championship, and my muslin actually fit me. I made it out of a fabric that I will wear so I got a new dress while trying to fit the pattern. :) I really like days like that! :D :D Now I just wish the game had gotten over before midnight.

Today I have to work.
Probably no sewing.
I'm going to make Wally's favorite, a Mexican style casserole for dinner.
