Laura, sometimes the piles seem to grow, don't they? I have a basket of "strings" to use in a quilt. I have made many blocks for swaps and a string quilt too but it keeps getting fuller.

We went swimming both days and one lady showed us how to make fabric bowls using cotton clothesline. I got the sashing done on a block swap quilt and a pocketbook done too! (Amid the eating...chatting...)

One of our guild members made one of those fabric bowls with closeline, it's really pretty but sure seems like a lot of work. I finished quilting the 2nd small quilt and just made the binding, both quilts get the same color which makes it easier. They are wheelchair sized so I think I may get them done tonight or tomorrow and then I just have to figure out how to quilt the bottom of the rainbow quilt and it's ready to go. I want to embelish it with buttons and yarn, so it is going to end up being a wall hanging as it's for a baby and the buttons wouldn't be a good idea. It's been a fun one to do and is almost done! Then onto my Halloween swap stuff
