My current sewing project is making a new altar cloth for our new altar at church. I am embroidering 36 blocks that will be added to 36 blank blocks to form 9 rows of 8. The altar cloth will be hand quilted by a friend of mine. I am using Madeira rayon yellow gold thread and a medium weight tear-away stabilizer on pure white medium weight linen. This is a surprise for our congregation and my gift to my church. Next year will be 50 years since I joined. I hope to have it totally completed by start of Advent. This is one of the biggest projects that I have taken on. Also, I am teaching sewing classes 2 mornings a week and continuing with my Angel/Cross ministry. Since January, I have sent out more than 125 angels and crosses. On Facebook, I have 2 groups in which I am teaching others to sew. One group is basic sewing and the other group is for learning to use a serger. I've been keeping busy.
